Delivered by main contractor Benniman, the development is the first to be delivered on the southern extension.

Completion follows a ribbon cutting ceremony which was attended by MiTek Chairman and CEO, Mark Thom who travelled from the United States for the occasion. James Morgan, Managing Director at MiTek: “Opening our home at Worcester Six marks a new chapter in MiTek’s journey as an offsite construction enabler. This facility establishes our European hub for streamlining design, manufacturing, and innovation, and offers a collaborative space where partners across the industry can co-create solutions that accelerate timber construction and raise standards for everyone.”

Edward Peel, Director at Stoford: “MiTek’s decision to establish its EMEA headquarters at Worcester Six is significant for the region. It further strengthens Worcestershire’s reputation as a hub for international business. Planning submitted for five new units at Worcester Six Business Park

Proposals have been submitted for the speculative development of smaller industrial units at Worcester Six, the flagship business park.

Overseen by the planning committee of Wychavon District Council, the plans relate to a 3.46 acre plot at Worcester Six and will be known as North Point.

This phase will deliver up to five units ranging from 5,532 sq ft up to 34,401 sq ft, with options to combine. Available either for sale or to let, the units are designed to meet growing demand from manufacturing, light industrial businesses and SMEs.

Located adjacent to Junction 6 of the M5, Worcester Six Business Park is already home to a number of major national and international occupiers, including MiTek, Bidfood, Alliance Flooring Distribution, Material Solutions, Kimal, Spire Healthcare, IONOS, Kohler Mira, Zwick Roell, Super Smart Service, Stop Start Transport and Sierra CP Engineering.

The North Point development represents an alternative to the larger-format buildings for which Worcester Six is best known, broadening the park’s occupier mix and providing flexible accommodation for a different segment of the market.

Edward Peel, Director at Stoford, said: “We are pleased to announce the submission of the latest planning application at Worcester Six, which will further diversify the offer at the site and support continued business growth in the region. The park has been an incredibly successful, game-changing development over the last ten years, with strong and sustained demand for commercial space. These proposals represent an exciting opportunity for further development, creating new, sustainable units to meet ongoing market demand.”

Charles D’Auncey, Director at Harris Lamb, said: “These units will be a great addition as they offer a totally different type of space to anything else currently available at Worcester Six. North Point occupies a prominent position in a strategic location adjacent to Junction 6 of the M5. The introduction of smaller industrial units opens the business park up to a new market, with a variety of unit sizes to march occupier requirements.”

Global manufacturer supports community initiative in Worcestershire

Manufacturer and incoming occupier at Worcester Six Business Park, MiTek has jointly funded a community project for Tibberton Village Parish.

Alongside the scheme’s property developer Stoford, MiTek is giving back to the local community by funding a new seating area at Tibberton’s village hall.

Located just two miles from the business park, and run by a dedicated volunteer committee, Tibberton’s village hall is a key community hub for local activities and events. Now, with the support of sponsorship, a new outdoor area has been developed to enhance facilities for both locals and visitors.

Robbie Hazlehurst, Chair of the Tibberton Parish Council, and Helen Savage, Chair of the Village Hall Management Committee, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to MiTek and Stoford for making this project possible. Their support truly makes all the difference, and we look forward to seeing families and friends enjoying the space in the sunshine.”

James Morgan, Managing Director for MiTek’s EMEA operations said: “Establishing our new home at Worcester Six is huge for MiTek, but it’s just as important for us to be part of the local community. Supporting the village hall project means we can give back and play our part in creating a space where people can come together.”

It comes in line with the construction of MiTek’s new 278,048 sq ft EMEA headquarters — the largest pre-sale for Worcestershire in over 20 years — which is due for completion later this year.

Alex Morgan, Director at Stoford, said: “Worcester Six is already making a significant contribution to the region, creating jobs, attracting investment, and supporting long-term economic growth. Partnering with MiTek to support Tibberton Village Hall is a great way to extend that positive impact. We’re pleased to hear what a real difference it will have for local people.”

Hosted in conjunction with Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, Stoford celebrated the major milestone with an exclusive breakfast for agents, a guided tour of the new headquarters for MiTek staff, and a celebratory lunch bringing together occupiers, partners and stakeholders.

The celebration also commemorated the construction of MiTek’s new 278,048 sq ft EMEA headquarters — the largest pre-sale for Worcestershire in over 20 years — which is due for completion later this year.

Attendees heard from key speakers: Stoford Directors, Edward Peel and Gerard Ludlow; James Morgan, Managing Director of MiTek; Chamber CEO Sharon Smith; former England rugby star and British & Irish Lion, Simon Shaw MBE; Worcester Warriors CEO Stephen Vaughan; and Benniman Director Neil Fletcher.

It was great to see the developments at our soon-to-be EMEA headquarters as well as celebrating the broader, ongoing success of the Worcester Six Business Park development.”

As demand for offsite construction continues to grow, this building will provide the manufacturing capacity to support the continued growth of our customers across Europe, as well as providing spaces that inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and drive innovation.
